Glasgow architecture has gone through a transformation over the last decade or so. The city has been transformed from being an industrial powerhouse to a cultural hub. In Glasgow, people and tourists come to spend their holidays in order to see the spectacular sights, the beautiful architecture, the amazing landscapes, and of course the amazing history. As Glasgow is one of the most densely populated cities in the UK, there are many opportunities for cultural exploration and cultural experiences. The city’s architectural heritage is also one of its main assets, which adds to the beauty of the city and makes it so much more fascinating to visit.
One of the architectural gems that you have to look out for is the St Clair Cathedral. This beautiful cathedral was built back in the nineteenth century and it was designed by the famous architect Sir James Duff. It sits on the corner of the main road and it can be visited with ease as the Cathedral itself can be accessed via the main road and there are many different hotels around. There is the Llandudno Hotel, which is centrally located in the centre of the city and there are many sightseeing tours available which take you around the city centre of the Cathedral. You can visit the Holy Sepulchre, which is a major historic building that has been the subject of many historical novels and movies. It is here where one can find the tomb of St Mary of Egypt and many of the most famous paintings and sculptures were made.
Glasgow also has the National Maritime Museum which is one of the most visited museums in Scotland. It houses a massive collection of boats, sailing vessels and other artifacts from around the world. There are also a number of shops that can be found in the area and many tourists will travel to Glasgow specifically to see this museum. Glasgow also has many pubs that are open throughout the day which makes visiting the city so much more interesting. However, when it comes to the architecture and buildings of the city, the best thing to do is to enjoy them from the inside of your home.
